Swimming Is The Best Sports You Should Do

Swimming is one of the best and most effective ways to workout. The water serves as an excellent form of resistance. Swimming is also really awesome because it’s a low-impact exercise. If you have achy joints or problems with your knees, swimming is the best way to get exercise, lose weight and stay safe in the process. If you’d like to know more about how to exercise in the water, consider these four great options.

  1. Aqua Zumba
If you love to dance in the salsa club and love to listen to catchy Latin tunes, attend an aqua Zumba class. While you’re in the water with the rest of the class, the instructor stands poolside and does all the dance moves you need to imitate. These classes will work all of your muscles while you get the chance to groove in the water.
  2. Aqua Cycling
If you’re up for an intense yet exhilarating challenge, consider aqua cycling. Once you get into the pool, you can swim over to a stationary bike and hop on. In this class, the instructor will tell you how fast to go and how to do various moves. Your legs might feel a little wobbly by the end, but the workout is well worth the calories you’ll burn in the process.
  3. Swimming Laps
You can do this exercise on your own time. You don’t need a class to swim a few laps. Before you start swimming laps, set the timer. Set a goal of how many laps you’d like to do in the span of ten minutes. Work to increase your lap number as you go along. You can also practice swimming stroke drills, work on your backstroke and then to cool down, enjoy some floating.
  4. Aqua Aerobics
An aqua aerobics class works well for anyone who’s a little older. It’s easy on the joints and gets the heart rate up a bit. If you’re younger, just know that you might share the class with those who are a lot older than you. If you’re nervous about aqua classes, an aqua aerobics class is a great way to ease into the process.

As long as you remain consistent with your efforts, you’ll be in great shape in no time. Get a great bathing suit, wear your comfiest water shoes and bring your gym bag for some workout fun in the water.
